Dr. Kim was awarded a 5-year individual basic research grant (Core Research, Basic Research Type B) from the National Research Foundation of Korea (MSIT), as Principal Investigator (2026–2031).

Dr. Kim returned to his alma mater, Konkuk University, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical, Biomolecular & Energy Engineering.

MSEL held its summer retreat, 3S (Surprise Summer Success), at Mosageum Beach in Yeosu (Aug 8–9, 2026).
